OK I've had this flu since I woke up yesterday; body aches, headache, slight fever, chest congestion, cough, and sore throat. I'm taking Ibuprofen for the fever/body aches and it seems to be working as well as I could hope. I'm taking Mucinex D for the cough and congestion, but it won't go away.
I am a smoker, so I know it will be harder to shake, but I haven't had a cigarette since Sunday night.
Anyone got any home remedies; tea, anything like that that might help me out? TIA, I'm dying over here.

Here in the sticks it is white liquor (moonshine), honey and lemon. Good Bourbon works as well. tablespoon of honey and squirt of lemon juice.

Made one of these last night and it worked wonders. Here's how I always made them (stole the recipe from an Irish pub I used to frequent):

In a coffee mug: water, Tullamore Dew whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and a touch of honey. Heat up in the microwave, add a few cloves, and sip.

Very similar recipe, and it does work nicely.

I'm not sick but this sounds so good I might make some tonight!
